U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen. Ricky Ruff (left), U.S. Transportation Command - Director of Operations, presents Chief Warrant Officer 5 Tyhrone Mullins, Operational Support Airlift (OSA) Det. 17 commander, the 2018 Joint OSA Unit of the Year in the Large Aircraft category, and the Overall Best Joint OSA Unit awards. This highly competitive category includes 64 units from across the United States.
"Detachment 17's dedication and professionalism set the mark for all other large lift units in the Department of Defense," said Maj. Gen. Ruff.
Det. 17 provided exceptional support with 2,150 scheduled flight hours on 367 missions, transporting 3,339 passengers and 25,508 pounds of cargo
