The Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month proclamation on display with the signatures of 1st Lt. Yuri A. Armstrong, Headquarters, Headquarters Company, Medical Department Activity Bavaria commander, and 1st. Sgt. Mitchell Bethke, HHC, MEDDAC Bavaria first sergeant. HHC, MEDDAC Bavaria took time out from its busy schedule to conduct its annual Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention, or SHARP, Stand-Down Day at Rose Barracks, Vilseck, Germany, April 18. The stand down day supports an annual call by Army officials as well as a declaration by MEDDAC Bavaria leadership in support of the awareness month. This year's theme for the Army is "Shaping a culture of trust. Protecting our people protects our mission." Sexual harassment and assault are offenses contrary to the Army values. HHC, MEDDAC Bavaria is committed to ensuring service members and civilian employees live and work in an environment free of sexual harassment and sexual assault.
