Cpl. Josue P. Barron from Los Angeles, playing basketball for the Wounded Warrior Battalion West, dribbles the basketball during a wheelchair basketball at the 2012 Marine Corps Trials at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Feb. 17. Barron was injured in Afghanistan, 2010. The Trials are hosted by the USMC Wounded Warrior Regiment and allows active duty, reserve, veteran and international Marines opportunities to focus on strengthening their bodies and building their confidence. The competition includes sitting volleyball, wheelchair basketball, swimming, cycling, shooting, archery, and track and field. The Trials also provide a forum to select 50 athletes as members of the All-Marine team for the Warrior Games. The Warrior Games, a competition between all branches of service of wounded, ill, and injured service members, will take place in Colorado Springs, Colo., April 30-May 6, 2012.
