CAMP BUEHRING, Kuwait (April 11, 2019) U.S. Marine Gunnery Sgt. Margaret Machado, an intelligence chief with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, reads from the range safety card prior to the start of a dry run of a combat marksmanship range during Female Engagement Team training. FET Marines worked to build and sharpen their skills in preparation for combat marksmanship training alongside partner nations. Marines and Sailors with the 22nd MEU and Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group are deployed to the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
