Competitors from the Korea Military Academy practice at the firing range in preparation for the 2019 Sandhurst Military Skills Competition. Hosted by the U.S. Military Academy at West Point since 1967, the Sandhurst competition promotes excellence of future leaders from across the world. On 12-13 April, 48 teams representing 13 international military academies (Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Japan, Mexico, South Korea, Thailand, and United Kingdom (2)), 16 Reserve Officer Training Corps programs, and three U.S. service academies will compete in a rigorous 27-mile course to test individual and squad mastery of military skills.
