Spc. DeAndre Jackson, a native of Oakland, Calif., and a generator mechanic for the Headquarters Support Company, 615th Aviation Support Battalion, 1st Air Cavalry Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, basks in the crowds enthusiastic cheers after he preformed “Crazy PT’s,” a rap song written by him to the musical sounds of “Smack That” by Akon, for the “Marmal’s got Talent” finale competition here Feb. 11. Jackson ended up winning first place in the event. The event was hosted by the 615th ASB, and was the culmination of three separate auditions where anyone on Camp Marmal was encouraged to perform any talent they wished in order to compete against their peers for the top prize.
