Brig. Gen. Michael Garshak, the adjutant general of Idaho, signed a proclamation declaring April Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month for the Idaho Military Division. Sexual Assault Response Coordinators, Victim Advocates, and Idaho National Guardsmen read the proclamation before Garshak signed it. This month's theme is "Idaho Takes Action to Protect our People," and includes several activities and planned events for members to participate in to raise the level of awareness and share prevention techniques that will help maintain a culture of zero tolerance of sexual assault and harassment in our ranks. "The most essential component of the relationship between the leader and those he or she leads is trust," said Garshak. (U.S. Air National Guard photo by Master Sgt. Becky Vanshur)
