Marine Corps Recruiting Command           

Marine Sgt. Carly Jones, Sgt. Bree-Anna Perez, Sgt. Amber Haddix and Sgt. Norma Gavilanes, all drill instructors at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina, bear rifles and present the national ensign and Marine Corps colors during the national anthem at the National Collegiate Athletic Association Women’s Final Four Basketball Tournament Semi-Finals in Tampa, Florida, April 5, 2019. The basketball tournament ran in conjunction with the 2019 Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Convention. The Marine Corps Recruiting Command partnered with WBCA to conduct influencer and media engagement and to showcase the Marine Corps’ commitment to leadership in America’s communities. The WBCA’s purpose is to serve its members and to help grow women's basketball by providing educational programming, networking opportunities, information and news, legislative and rules updates and acting as the collective voice of the membership to the NCAA and other governing bodies in the sport.
