ATLANTIC OCEAN (April 2, 2019) - Sonar Technician (Surface) 2nd Class Carson Roney, rides on a rigid-hull inflatable boat as a member of the visit, board, search, and seizure team aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Carney (DDG 64), in preparations to board an allied partner’s ship as part of the multinational exercise Joint Warrior 19-1, April 2, 2019. Carney, forward-deployed to Rota, Spain, is on its sixth patrol in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations in support of regional allies and partners as well as U.S. national security interests in Europe and Africa.
