Royal Thai, U.S. and Republic of Korea Marines participate in a survival training class during Exercise Cobra Gold 2012 here Feb. 11. The training showed Marines how to survive in jungle terrain such as; finding edible plants, vegetables and fruit, how to cook rice in a bamboo shoot and what tactics to use when approaching a snake. Cobra Gold is an annual co-sponsored exercise built to improve the capability to plan and conduct combined-joint operations, build relationships between partner nations and improve interoperability across the Asia-Pacific region.
