190403-N-CS616-024 NAVAL STATION ROTA, Spain (April 3, 2019) Naval Station (NAVSTA) Rota, Spain, personnel practice decontamination procedures during a base-wide Operational Readiness Assessment (ORA) exercise. The exercise tests NAVSTA Rota’s security department, incident management team and emergency service’s response to a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIED) releasing a chemical agent on base. NAVSTA Rota sustains the fleet, enables the fighter and supports the family by conducting air operations, port operations, ensuring security and safety, assuring quality of life and providing the core services of power, water, fuel and information technology.
