Chief Quartermaster Rasheed LaVigne pilots Landing Craft Unit 1627 towards the well deck of the forward-deployed amphibious dock landing ship USS Germantown. The craft brought supplies and Marines from 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit to shore to begin Cobra Gold 2012, a multinational exercise hosted annually by the Kingdom of Thailand. Germantown, with embarked elements of the 31st MEU, is currently underway in support of Cobra Gold 2012.
