U.S. Airmen assigned to the 75th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron, Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA), and the 435th Contingency Response Group load a C-130J Hercules with World Food Programme (WFP) pallets at Durban International Airport, South Africa, March 30, 2019, for the U.S. Department of Defense’s relief effort in the Republic of Mozambique and surrounding areas following Cyclone Idai. Teams from CJTF-HOA, which is leading DoD support to relief efforts in Mozambique, began immediate preparation to respond following a call for assistance from the U.S. Agency for International Development’s Disaster Assistance Response Team.
