A U.S. Marine Corps MV-22B Osprey rests at Morón Air Base, Spain, March 29, 2019. The aircraft, from Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 261, will serve as the aviation combat element for Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force-Crisis Response-Africa 19.2, Marine Forces Europe and Africa, as they prepare to take authority from 19.1 for operations within the area of responsibility. SPMAGTF-CR-AF is deployed to conduct crisis-response and theater-security operations in Africa and promote regional stability by conducting military-to-military training exercises throughout Europe and Africa.
