Staff Sgt. Shawn White, squad leader, 38th Engineer Company, 4th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, gives an overview of the Bangalore torpedo, typically used to reduce wire obstacles, to soldiers of 2nd Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment, 4th SBCT, 2nd Inf. Div. Feb. 4 at Range 9S here. “Engineers are a force multiplier,” said White. “We can not only breach, but teach.” The soldiers constructed and executed demolitions as part of Exercise Raider Focus, a month-long brigade training exercise designed to challenge the ability of leaders and soldiers to conduct full spectrum operations as a combined arms team.
