U.S. Marine Maj. Gen. David J. Furness, left, the commanding general, and Sgt. Maj. Alex M. Dobson, the sergeant major, 2nd Marine Division meritoriously promote Lance Cpl. Patrick C. Mulcahy, a section leader with 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 2nd Marine Division to the rank of Corporal, at Fort Irwin, California, March 12, 2019. Mulcahy was recognized by Maj. Gen. Furness for his superior performance of duties and meritoriously promoted to the rank of Corporal. The Marines of 2d Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion participated in National Training Center 19-05 as the opposing force against the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division.
