(Mar. 08, 2019) – Chief Boatswain’s Mate Tim Murphy, from Concord, California, assigned to Port Security Unit 312 (PSU-312), fires his M4 carbine during combat rifle course qualifications on Naval Base Ventura County during Pacific Blitz 2019 (PacBlitz19). Tactical crewmen and coxswains assigned to port security must maintain weapons proficiency to provide pier side and port defense and tactical support to moored naval vessels.
