Utilities Man 1st Class Bruce Nisbet and Construction Electrician Castro Amoakoh, assigned to Navy Mobile Construction Battalion 23, embarked aboard High Speed Vessel Swift, put up and rearrange prefabricated floorboards and walls to lay them on the base of the construction site. The boards will build floors and walls that will be used at a school in Zona De Acapulco and Ancon, as part of Southern Partnership Station 2012. The engineers will spend three weeks refurbishing two schools in the area with U.S. service members aboard Swift. HSV-SPS 12 is an annual deployment of U.S. Navy ships and assets to the U.S. Southern Command's area of responsibility in the Caribbean, Central and South America. The exercise involves information sharing with navies, coast guards and civilian services throughout the region. It also reiterates the countries' partnership and commitment to regional cooperation throughout Latin America.
