Steel Worker 2nd Class Barron Montowski, assigned to Navy Mobile Construction Battalion 23, and Staff Sgt. Garival Perez, assigned to the Marine detachment embarked aboard High Speed Vessel Swift, carry prefabricated floorboards to lay out. The boards will build floors and walls that will be used at a school in Zona De Acapulco and Ancon, as part of Southern Partnership Station 2012. The Seabees will spend three weeks refurbishing two schools in the area. HSV-SPS 12 is an annual deployment of U.S. Navy ships and assets to the U.S. Southern Command's area of responsibility in the Caribbean, Central and South America. The exercise involves information sharing with navies, coast guards and civilian services throughout the region. It also reiterates the countries' partnership and commitment to regional cooperation throughout Latin America.
