U.S. Army Specialist Andy D. Lopez, a Cannon Crewmember assigned to 4th Battalion, 27th Field Artillery Regiment. Lopez is a native of Havana, Cuba. In 2003, he immigrated to the U.S. and was later naturalized as a U.S. citizen. He currently serves as a gunner for the M109A6 Paladin and serves in a sergeant position. Due to his constant initiative, Lopez excels amongst his peers. He remains sharp and performs at a noncommissioned officer level. He continually seeks ways to self-improve and refine his technical and tactical skillset. His dedication to mission success has deemed him the Battalion’s Soldier of the Month and now the 2ABCT, 1AD #StrikeSoldier for the month of March.
