Marines with the Expeditionary Firefighting and Rescue team attached to Marine Wing Support Detachment 273 prep the firehose to extinguish a controlled training fire during a detachment field exercise aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, Feb. 27. MWSD-273 conducted a base recovery after attack exercise utilizing their damage assessment team, damage assessment response team, and expeditionary firefighting and rescue team. Conducting detachment field exercises like this ensures the mission readiness and forward deployment capabilities of MWSD-273.
