NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (March 5, 2019) Machinist's Mate 2nd Class Shameka Judene, from Augusta, Georgia, assigned to USS Gerald R. Ford's (CVN 78) weapons department, operates Advanced Weapons Elevator (AWE) upper stage no. 3. AWE no. 3 was accepted by the ship on February 14, marking the second elevator accepted by Ford.
