SAN DIEGO (March 1, 2019) Damage Controlman 3rd Class Arturo Cunillasvaladez, from Big Bear Lake, Calif., assigned to Whidbey Island-class dock landing ship USS Rushmore (LSD 47), kisses his wife after returning to homeport. Rushmore, of the Essex Amphibious Ready Group, returned to its homeport of San Diego following a successful eight-month deployment to the U.S. 5th and 7th fleet areas of operation.
