A member of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) 34th Infantry Regiment out of Camp Itazuma in Gotemba, Japan, radios in for backup during a sniper fire scenario during Guard and Protect 2019 at Yokota Air Base, Japan, Feb. 27, 2019. Through the use of Size, Activity, Location, Unit, Time, and Equipment (SALUTE) reports, JGSDF and 374th Security Forces Squadron personnel are able to better report and coordinate response to a variety of situations.
