Silver Scimitar 2012, the largest theater-level human resources exercise in the U.S. Army, kicked off on Jan. 20, testing the mettle of soldiers participating from over 15 units around the country. The two-week exercise covers a range of critical support services to soldiers on the battlefield, to include rest and recuperation programs and Morale, Welfare and Recreation activities. On Jan. 23, Air Force instructor Master Sgt. Richard Cendrowski (left), Military Postal Service Agency, Arlington, Va., assists Spc. Michael Warnke, 678th Adjutant General Co., with setting up his account on the automated military postal system, an online management system for tracking mail. Instructors from all components participate in the exercise, bringing with them a range of experience in supporting soldiers on the battlefield.
