Vice President Joe Biden greets a Vietnam veteran during an ice cream social at the Wounded Warrior Battalion-West Hope and Care Center, Jan. 20. Biden was joined by his wife, Second Lady of the U.S. Dr. Jill Biden, in greeting and interacting with injured Marines and their families. The visit, which included a tour of the Infantry Immersion Trainer, Explosive Ordinance Disposal facilities and Wounded Warrior Battalion-West, was part of Dr. Biden's ongoing work with First Lady Michelle Obama and their Joining Forces Initiative, which aims to bring Americans together to recognize, honor and take action to support veterans and military families as they serve the country and throughout their lives.
