190213-N-BY095-0131 ATLANTIC OCEAN (Feb. 13, 2019) Damage Controlman 3rd Class Kyle Vanriper, left, from Danville, Calif., and Machinist's Mate 2nd Class Juan Delgado, from Anaheim, Calif., secure a smoke curtain during a fire drill aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Gonzalez (DDG 66). Gonzalez is underway conducting composite training unit exercise (COMPTUEX) with Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 12. The components of CSG 12 embody a "team-of-teams" concept, combining advanced surface, air, and systems assets to create and sustain operational capability.
