Fort Hamilton Garrison Commander Col. Andrew S. Zieseniss (left) and the senior U.S. Army officer responsible for Fort Hamilton Maj. Gen. Jeffrey Milhorn (right) held a town hall meeting with base housing residents Wednesday, Feb. 26 at the Post Chapel to hear their issues and concerns.
Zieseniss and Milhorn took residents' questions assisted by garrison staff members and housing partners.
Vincent Grewatz (middle), the U.S. Army Installation Management Command senior executive who manages garrison support to Training and Doctrine Command bases like Fort Hamilton, traveled from his headquarters at Fort Eustis, Virginia to participate in the town hall. Grewatz made opening and closing remarks at the event.
Senior leaders across the Army are meeting with military installations’ housing residents following reports of deficient conditions. Follow-on inspections of housing conditions will follow.
