Ensuring high standards at a consistently high level...Naval Hospital Bremerton's Christopher Cornish, Endoscopy Clinic medical equipment
technician, conducts the decontamination and high-level disinfection process
required on all instruments that are critical for maintaining patient
safety, a procedure positively evaluated during the Joint Commission and
Navy Medicine Medical Inspection General (MED IG) accreditation survey and
inspection processes held Feb 4-7, 2019, at Naval Hospital Bremerton. The
primary objective of the Joint Commission review and MED IG assessment was
to evaluate the compliance at NHB along with Branch Health Clinic (BHC)
Bangor, BHC Everett and BHC Puget Sound Naval Shipyard with nationally
established industry, Joint Commission and Navy Medicine standards. NHB
received a three year reaccreditation with several leading practices noted.
