1st Lt. Ernie Lacroix celebrated his 100th birthday by walking in the Cowtown 5K Saturday February 23. Lacroix was a bomber pilot during World War II veteran, flying 76 missions in France, Italy and North Africa as part of the 310th Bombardment Group, the predecessor to 10th Air Force’s 310th Space Wing.
To help celebrate Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price proclaimed the day as Ernie Lacroix Day and the crowd sang “Happy Birthday.”
