190222-N-TF178-1019 SAN DIEGO (Feb. 22, 2019) Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Fuel) 2nd Class Jonathan Santos, assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8), sorts through a cooler of food while volunteering for Meals on Wheels. Santos assisted in delivering meals to the elderly and disabled. Makin Island’s crew regularly participates in community relation projects to make a positive impact on the local San Diego community.
