Congratulations to U.S. Army Corporal Jordan E. Deboer, an #IndirectFireInfantryman assigned to 1st Battalion, 37th Armor Regiment. Deboer is a native of Woodinville, Washington and is our February #StrikeSoldier. He has completed two mortar gunneries as a Squad Leader, serving in a position above his pay grade. His overall knowledge and professionalism are exceptional amongst the members of the Platoon in his position. He has successfully trained and mentored his squad members to qualify expert on the mortar gunner’s exam. Deboer deployed to Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and was part of the small group that was sent to serve 3 months in Iraq at Camp Taji. Deboer’s leadership abilities are on par with the best in the Platoon, his ability to adapt to any situation and complete any task given are a direct reflection of the type of leader that the United States Army hopes to develop in all Soldiers in the future.
