U.S. Marines with Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 152 and 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion conduct joint freefall training with Royal Thai Marine Reconnaissance during Cobra Gold 2019. The purpose of the joint amphibious assault training is to demonstrate our capabilities in the pacific. Cobra Gold 19 is a Thailand and United States co-sponsored Combined Joint Task Force and joint theatre security operation exercise conducted with up to 29 nations participating annually in the Kingdom of Thailand. This provides the opportunity for many nations to form relationships and reinforce our commitment to a free and safe Indo-Pacific region.
