Concertina wire at the Central Receiving and Shipping Point (CRSP) yard on Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz., Feb. 12, 2019. The 142nd Combat Sustainment Support Battalion staged more than 6,000 rolls of double-strand concertina wire, 10,000 units of rebar and 240 reels of barbed wire at the CRSP yard. The materials will go to Sasabe and Naco, where Soldiers assigned to engineer and miltary police units will secure the materials to the border walls. U.S. Northern Command is providing military support to the Department of Homeland Security and Customs and Border Protection to secure the Southern Border of the United States.The Department of Defense has deployed units across the Southwest Border at the request of U.S. Customs and Border Protection and is providing logistical, engineering, situational awareness and force protection functions.
