ARABIAN SEA (Feb. 10, 2019) U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Joshua Broner, an airframe mechanic with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, adds fuel to a hydraulic servicing unit in the well deck of the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD-3). Airframe mechanic Marines attached to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 264 (REIN) utilize the servicing unit to perform routine maintenance on aircraft located aboard the Kearsarge. Marines and Sailors with the 22nd MEU and Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group are deployed to the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
