U.S. Marines assigned to Marine Aircraft Group (MAG) 13 bow their heads for the chaplains invocation during the MAG-13 Relief and Appointment ceremony on at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, AZ. Feb. 1, 2019. The Relief and Appointment ceremony is an honored product of the rich heritage of Naval tradition. The heart of the ceremony is the passing of the organizational NCO Sword by the Activity Commander from the outgoing Sergeant Major to the new Sergeant Major which signifies the transfer of responsibility, accountability and authority, from one individual to another.
