    22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit

    190207-M-YD783-0010 ARABIAN SEA (Feb. 7, 2019) U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Dillon Adams, a rifleman with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, post security during a rocket battle drill in the well deck of the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD-3). Marines with 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment took part in the drill to practice and advance their battle drill skills. Marines and Sailors with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit and Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group are deployed to the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
