SAN DIEGO (Feb. 07, 2019) Capt. Ronald Dowdell, commanding officer of amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4), donates blood during a blood drive in Boxer’s Intensive Care Unit. Boxer conducted the blood drive to establish reserves for possible future medical emergencies. Boxer is currently in its homeport of San Diego.
