Shoshana Chatfield, commander, Joint Region Marianas and commander, Task Force West, for the service members who repaired her damaged roof following Super Typhoon Yutu in Saipan, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands Feb. 6. A closing ceremony for Joint Task Force West/Task Group Engineer was held to mark the end of Department of Defense relief and recovery efforts in support of the Federal Emergency Management Agency and CNMI’s civil and local authorities from the devastating impacts of Super Typhoon Yutu, which hit the commonwealth Oct. 25, 2018.
