190123-N-UN413-1019 TINIAN, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (Jan. 23, 2019) Construction Electrician 3rd Class Ousseynou Niang, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 3, Det. Tinian, uses a reciprocating saw to cut off excess bracing for a temporary emergency roof for a home that was damaged during Super Typhoon Yutu. Service members from Joint Region Marianas and U.S. Indo-Pacific Command are providing Department of Defense support to the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands' civil and local officials as part of the Federal Emergency Management Agency-supported Super Typhoon Yutu recovery efforts.
