I met Airman 1st Class Nichols while she was taking my routine blood test.
“I am an Aerospace Medical Technician, and I am a nursing student. The process in joining the military was really smooth; I decided I wanted to join the military for educational benefits and then it just so happened the med tech career was available and I thought, 'that is perfect.' So far, my time has been great in the med tech position, even though the tech school is a little long. But it is needed to prepare us for everything we have to do. It is making my civilian career a little easier, and to know it ahead of time makes it more of a refresher. I look forward to advancing my career in my civilian and military life."
