Smoke reaches for the skies as underbrush is burns aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune after forestry personnel conducted a controlled burn near Lyman Road, Dec. 21. Controlled burns remove underbrush which greatly reduces the risks of unintentional fires and helps promote new growth.
