A controlled detonation blasts at Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan. Explosive ordnance disposal crews use controlled detonations in Afghanistan to dispose of captured ordnance and ammunition. This photo was taken by Sgt. Eric D. Warren, a maintainer for Marine Corps RQ-7B Shadow unmanned aerial vehicles, currently deployed to Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan, from Twentynine Palms, Calif. Warren, a native of Winterville, N.C., said he enjoys photography in his spare time. "Most of my spare time is taken up by my love for photography," Warren said. "I've always liked taking photos, but I recently started to get serious about it." (Photo courtesy of Sgt. Eric D. Warren, U.S. Marine Corps).
