U.S. Army Corps of Engineers modified operations at the Willis Cook Road temporary disposal and reduction site in Miller County, Georgia, due to muddy road conditions, Jan. 25. Trying to utilize the road under current conditions could lead to unsafe work practices like ... vehicles getting stuck ... increased risk to workers. Mulch haul out will resume as soon as the road is deemed safe. The Corps' mission assignment is under the direction of the Federal Emergency Management Agency as part of the FEMA Hurricane Michael debris mission. The Corps works closely with State and local officials to prioritize operations.
