TINIAN, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (Jan. 12, 2019) Steelworker 2nd Class Charles Jeffries, from South Bend, Ind., right, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 3, Det. Tinian, conducts fall protection harness training with Builder Constructionman Andre Gordon, from Bronx, N.Y., assigned to NMCB-3, while constructing an emergency temporary roof for a home that was damaged during Super Typhoon Yutu. Service members from Joint Region Marianas and U.S. Indo-Pacific Command are providing Department of Defense support to the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands' civil and local officials as part of the Federal Emergency Management Agency-supported Super Typhoon Yutu recovery efforts.
