Brooks spent the morning conversing with service members, meeting with key Kuwaiti leaders, and welcoming U.S. troops into Kuwait. Even though U.S. troops left the country, the U.S. will continue to build and strengthen a mutually beneficial partnership with Iraq. Third Army facilitated the redeployment, repositioning and retrograde of more than 50,000 personnel, 28,000 pieces of rolling stock and 800,000 non-rolling items.
