Ellingson and Gates volunteered to prepare blood products for transport at the BTC. The BTC is comprised of a four-person team that orchestrates the flow of blood and platelet products to 72 forward operating locations and eight mobile field surgical teams throughout U.S. Central Command’s area of responsibility.
