Marine Maj. Stephen Taylor, who is stationed with 2nd Marine Division in Camp Lejeune, N.C., was presented the Republic of Georgia’s Ministry of Defense Medal by Georgian Lt. Col. Lasha Beridze, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Georgian Armed Forces Joint Staff during a formation with Marine Corps Security Cooperation Group Marines and Republic of Georgia military delegates at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek – Fort Story, Va., Dec. 13. Taylor was recognized for providing outstanding support to the 3rd Georgian Brigade while serving as a Marin Corps liaison officer in Afghanistan during 2009.
