The family of Sgt. Joseph Turner share a moment following a deployment sendoff ceremony for the Soldiers of Company G, 1st Battalion, 168th Aviation Regiment at St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church January 3, 2019. Approximately 60 Soldiers are deploying to Afghanistan for approximately 10 months in support of Operation Freedom’s Sentinel to provide rotary wing aviation medical evacuation support using UH-60L Black Hawk helicopters.
