Major Gen. Janson D. Boyles, the adjutant general of Mississippi, addresses the crowd at St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church January 3, 2019, during a deployment sendoff ceremony for Company G, 1st Battalion, 168th Aviation Regiment. Approximately 60 Soldiers are deploying to Afghanistan for approximately 10 months in support of Operation Freedom’s Sentinel to provide rotary wing aviation medical evacuation support using UH-60L Black Hawk helicopters.
